This song is by Tina Dico and appears on the album In The Red (2006). The streets are dark, the night is coldShadows dance in every windowThe wind is biting through my coatAs evening fades I'm waiting to rise. We met this August afternoonHis insight threw me like a typhoonAnd I was frail, I think he knewWhispered words of great escapesNows the time to break away.
In the Red is a 2006 album by Tina Dico. Three songs on the album are new versions of previously released songs. An early version of "My Mirror" was released on Fuel (2001), while "Warm Sand" and "Room with a View" were originally released on the album Notes (2003).
New single 'FANCY' out now. New album 'FANSTLAND' out September 28. Visit ww. inadico. Helgi's new album 'Intelligentle' is OUT now which is a fantastic joy for me too, and yesterday we had the first rehearsal for our intimate Intelligentle duo shows starting with Cologne, Hamburg, Darmstadt and Leipzig in April. We'll see if I'll be playing a cereal box like in this clip :) Today we turn up the speakers and toast to music and everything that it does to us and for us.

In 1998 she was part of the group Fester Kester that won two talent-contests that year with songs written by her. Later in 1998 she released debut single Your Waste Of Time/My Mirror. In 2000 she started her own record label, Finest Gramophone
Tina Dico is one truly gifted tist & IN THE RED is a spellbinding wonder. From Denmark, this lady can really deliver the goods vocally & get you into her private world which is a fascinating place to hang out Tina Dico has an amazing voice and a fantastic way with melody and heart-felt lyricism that grabs hold of you. If you've not heard her work before I strongly recommend you test a couple of tracks and then just bite the bullet and get the album. One person found this helpful.
But it is safe to say that melancholy (or melancholic) is something that some Nordic artists do very well - Denmark's Tina Dico, for example. In the Red (which was released in Denmark in 2005 and the United States and England in early 2006) is a moody, dusky, highly introspective adult k outing that has plenty of melancholy moments, although it isn't as dark or troubled a disc as, say, Fiona Apple's Tidal.
