Weezer (also known as the Green Album) is the third studio album by American rock band Weezer, released on May 15, 2001 by Geffen Records. Produced by Ric Ocasek, it was the only album to feature bassist Mikey Welsh, who replaced Matt Sharp. After the disappointing reception for their second album, Pinkerton (1996), Weezer went on hiatus and the band members worked on side projects. During this time, their fanbase grew online and Pinkerton's standing improved

Weezer, also known as "The Green Album", was released May 15, 2001, nearly five years after Pinkerton. It is considered Weezer's first "post-Pinkerton" album, as well as their comeback album. It is notable for its short, poppy, and punchy sound. By August 18, 2000, Weezer was having meetings with various producers, learning and rehearsing new songs in their new garage, and ironing out all plans regarding recording a new album. Weezer fans voted on a Weezer

Weezer (often referred to as The Blue Album and commonly abbreviated as TBA) is the debut album by Weezer. It was released on May 10, 1994 by Geffen Records. The album was produced by former Cars frontman Ric Ocasek and recorded in Electric Lady Studios in New York City. Weezer spawned the popular singles "Undone - The Sweater Song" and "Buddy Holly", both of which were responsible for launching Weezer into mainstream success with the aid of music videos directed by Spike Jonze.

Let me first define my tastes.

Weezer, known better to fans as The Blue Album, is Weezer’s first and most successful studio album. It was released on May 10, 1994. Three strong singles ( Undone – The Sweater Song, Say It Ain’t So, and Buddy Holly ) pushed both the album and the band to the front of the post-Kurt Cobain alternative scene, and then even further into mainstream success. The album was produced by The Cars lead singer Ric Ocasek, after Weezer was pressured by Geffen Records to avoid a self-produced album. Originally, Blue was to feature Jason Cropper on guitar, as on The Kitchen Tapes. However, after a falling out with the rest of the band and an expected baby on the way, Cropper abandoned the project.

Weezer (also known as The Red Album) is the sixth studio album by Weezer, released on June 3, 2008. Rick Rubin and Jacknife Lee both produced parts of the album, with the band producing a handful of tracks themselves. Like the group's 1994 debut album Weezer, other band members contributed to songwriting. This is the first and, so far, the only Weezer album to feature lead vocals from all four band members. The album also features more musical experimentation in comparison to their previous efforts, especially shown in such songs as. More information.

It seems safe to say that in 1994, Weezer was just growing accustomed to a record deal and having hits, not planning a small career’s worth of self-titled albums. Blue is a calming, neutral aesthetic for a debut album cover, conveying both the sunlit waves of Surf Wax America and the titular globe of The World Has Turned and Left Me Here. The electric blue chosen for the cover is both friendly and vivid, and - focusing on the synesthetic effect - feels like the right new-wave sheen for producer Ric Ocasek’s synth break on Buddy Holly. We all say red with anger, purple with rage, green with envy, but if he’s in a happy place because he’s become a father, and he’s exploring all these new emotions, as a synesthete, he might very well associate that with red. It doesn’t have to make sense, it’s just that automatic impression that he’s wired for.

The LP – the fifth in a series of color-coded eponymous albums following their 1994 debut Blue Album, 2001’s Green Album, 2008’s Red Album and 2016’s White Album – is due out March 1st, 2019. TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek, working with Weezer for the first time, produced the Black Album. Rivers Cuomo wrote the album’s songs entirely on piano, a first for a Weezer album, before the singer brought the tracks to the studio
