High Voltage (Live from the Atlantic Studios). Авторы текста и музыки. Malcolm Young, Angus Young, Bon Scott. Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be (Live from the Atlantic Studios).

Bonfire is a five-disc box set by Australian band AC/DC, released in 1997, and remastered with a release in Digipak format in 2003. It was created as a tribute to the band's earlier singer Bon Scott and included the two disc soundtrack to the movie Let There Be Rock, some early unreleased tracks, a live recording from the Atlantic Records studio in New York and a remastered version of Back in Black.

Well if you're lookin' for trouble I'm the man to see If you're lookin' for satisfaction I'm satisfaction guaranteed I'm as cool as a body on ice Or hotter than a rollin' dice Send you to heaven Take you to hell I ain't foolin' Can't you tell. I'm a live wire, I'm a live wire, I'm a live wire Gonna set this town on fire. Well if you need some lovin' And if you need some man You've got the phone and the number And I got no future plans Oh, come on honey, you got nothin' to lose You got the thirst. known From the tattoo on her left leg And the garter on her right She'd have the card to bring me down If she played it right. She's got the jack She's got the jack She's got the jack She's got the jack She's got the jack She's got the jack She's got the jack She's got the jack She's got the jack, jack, jack, jack, jack, jack, jack She's got the jack.

Complete your AC/DC collection. It's certainly not an album I have the urge to keep cranking up in volume, unlike the bootleg.

AC DC - Bonfire (4CD Box Set) (1997). Disc 1 - Live From The Atlantic Studios. The original issue also features a poster, a backstage pass, keyring and a few other extras depending on the region. When the album was reissued in 2003 it was packaged in a large digipak, similar to a longbox, which featured either 4 or 5 disc trays. The 4-tray versions contained the remastered Back in Black in its own case with booklet. All versions of the box feature a large book full of liner notes and rare pictures of the band, mostly from before Scott's death. Oddly, the legend of Bon Scott never haunted AC/DC

Live at the Atlantic Recording Studios is unlike any other live album I have heard. It sounds so intimate, it is more like having the world’s loudest rock band turning up to play in your living room in front of you and a few friends. At one point you can even hear beer cans being opened and handed round the handful of people in the audience. Good job they didn’t. Back in Black turned out to be the best selling rock album of all tim. ecord AC/DC – Livewire – Live from the Atlantic Recording Studios.

The album was recorded live at the Atlantic Recording Studios in New York, on 7 December 1977 and all tracks were remixed by George Young. This was an official Radio Station/Promo release by Atlantic Records. It was initially released on LP in 1978, and later on CD (1986). AC/DC's performance was the first in a series of promotional concert-events for Atlantic Records acts. Catalog LAAS 001. The CD version was officially released to fans in 1997 as part of the Bonfire collection. Prior to that, this album was widely bootlegged among AC/DC fans

Any guesses to how many of the promotional LPs with letter and postcard were produced/mailed?
Nalmezar
i got this one around 25 to 30 years ago in a second hand lp shop, great sound on this one as it was officially recorded, i remember paying 25 usd for it at the time.
I_LOVE_228
Sound quality is really good on this pressing. Slightly siblant but far better than the heavily compressed versions that are on the Bonfire 4 & 5 CD releases.

I have a reel to reel version of this album.
Xal
that one would be interesting to see - can you submit it?

This is the live from the Atlantic studios but the vinyl is coloured, see the third photo to understand.

I dont have postcard or letter but cover is thick grey cardboard, think its genuine

There is another way to see if its an original. The cover is made from pretty thick cardboard that is grey on the backside(inside of cover)Never seen a counterfeit with that. Have seen counterfeits with correct matrix etching and so on.

Pochette noir ,écriture rose , vinyle bleu tache verte et blanche

I'm bummed that mine doesn't have the letter. Maybe it's just a counterfeit, although I bought it back in the 70's. It has all the other markings and the post card, however.

This is one case where the unofficial CD release (Mixing Records, LAAS 001) absolutely slays the official CD (released as part of the Bonfire box set). The unoffical release has a good low-end punch combined with a smooth sound, the original 1977 mix ensuring it can be cranked loud and still remain an enjoyable listen. In comparison the official CD uses a modern remix which pushes the guitars above everything else and renders the bass virtually inaudible. To compound matters its also hugely compressed, as a consequence of which the low-end punch found on the original mix is completely gone and the general sound is quite harsh. It's probably fair to say the remix was an early loudness wars casualty, having a brash and punchy sound which initially may sound good but doesn't really bear extended or repeated listens. It's certainly not an album I have the urge to keep cranking up in volume, unlike the bootleg. Live From The Atlantic Studios was originally released by Atlantic Records as a strictly limited editon LP, handed to radio stations for promotional use. All of the unofficial versions of this title have so far been sourced from the original vinyl album or copies thereof. It's a cruel irony that the official release for the first time had the benefit of using the original session tapes, yet the mastering and mixing of the CD completly destroys that benefit and makes the end result less pleasant to listen to than the original mix. It's my view that if you want to hear the best possible version of this album you're going to have to hunt down an unofficial release. The difference between the official CD and the bootleg really is one of night and day.

re: the official cd from the bonfire box set. the start and ending have been taken from vinyl as the master tapes are not complete anymore (partly erased). PLUS: ca. 1 minute of "rocker" (one of the very best versions EVER!) has been edited out - shame on the guy who was in charge of that!!! so i'm glad i still have the original promo, 'cause that's ac/dc at their crackin' best!

You will also find the CD version in the 1997 Bonfire Box Set. I can hear a small crack at the start, hence I presume it's vinyl origins... Great music!

I added pix of the letter & reply card from my album :)
Sorryyy
Original copies included a letter from Atlantic to radio djs and a postcard.

Raw and raucous. A divine piece of garage rock 'n' roll. The vinyl is just a gem of warm, devil may care, grooves and grins.
