The Chopin Preludes O. 8 RCA Victor LM-1150 played by Alexander Brailowsky are among my first recordings,which I purchased in1952,together with Chopin Waltzes RCA Victor LM- 1082 also performed byAlexander Brailowsky. In1985 the Preludes O. 8 Digitally Remastered were re- issued by RCA Gold Seal AGK1 - 5268 both on LP and Cassette, but never for some unknown. Brailowsky: Great recordings of the 20 th Century. To begin it : The sound is excellent and the performance among the best I have ever heard.

He received international acclaim for his performances of the music written by a variety of composers and many regard him as the greatest Chopin interpreter of his time.
