Trinidad "Trini" López III (born May 15, 1937) is an American singer, guitarist, and actor. His first album included a version of "If I Had a Hammer", which earned a Golden Disc for him. Other hits included "Lemon Tree", "I'm Comin' Home, Cindy" and "Sally Was a Good Old Girl". He designed two guitars for the Gibson Guitar Corporation, which are now collectors’ items.

Trini Lopez at PJ's is the debut, live album by singer and guitarist Trini Lopez, released in 1963 on Reprise Records. Many of the tracks are folk music songs. The record was a result of Don Costa hearing him perform at PJ's nightclub, and signing him to his new Reprise record label. The club floor was miked to get the crowd reaction on the record, as the producer and Frank Sinatra wanted the "live" experience to come across in the recording. Trini Lopez (born Trinidad López III, 15 May 1937) is an American (Chicano) singer, guitarist and actor. Lopez was born in Dallas, Texas, UK on Ashland Street in the Little Mexico neighborhood. Lopez made his name on the club circuit of the Southwestern United States before being 'discovered' in 1962 playing at the club PJ's in Hollywood, California, by record producer Don Costa. Costa was taken with Lopez's latinized versions of contemporary hits and signed him up to Frank Sinatra's record label, Reprise Records

Trini Lopez first started making music in Dallas in the late 1950s; fast-forward a few years and he'd made his way to Los Angeles and a residency at the . s club (later known as the Starwood). After Frank Sinatra signed him to his Reprise label, Lopez recorded his 1963 debut at the popular West Hollywood night spot, and the album spawned a million-selling single.
