He joined the Protestant Bohemian Revolt in the Lands of the Bohemian Crown against the House of Habsburg that led to Thirty Years' War. Following the victory of Catholic forces in the Battle of White Mountain, Harant was executed in the mass Old Town Square execution by the Habsburgs.

After his studies, he was a conductor of the opera in Ceske Budejovice and was also affiliated with The Prague Philharmonic Choir. He also initiated the establishment and conducted the vocal ensemble Camerata Bratislava. Since 1994, he realised many concerts with this ensemble. On many concerts they performed together with the Slovak Chamber Orchestra, or Musica Aeterna. The castle, on a hill above the old town, dominates the city of Bratislava. It features in the first written reference to the city, which appears in the Annals of Salzburg of 907, in association with a battle between Bavarians and Hungarians. The castle hill was populated as early as the late Stone Age; its first known inhabitants were the Celts, who founded a fortified settlement here called ‘Oppidum’.
Włodzimierz Promiński - first violin Andrzej Kordykiewicz - second violin Piotr Reichert - viola Rafał Kwiatkowski - cello. The Camerata Quartet. one of the most outstanding polish string quartets. This Quartet as a unit and individually plays with a most beautiful tone of telling substance. It plays with imagination and beautiful colours, it is always very exact and clean in execution but above all, it plays with great musicality and sense of style
